Our group of friends had an authentic Japanese experience at a traditional inn. the lobby staff was helpful in planning day trips nearby. the Japanese-style room was spacious and had beautiful views of both the water and a rock garden. the Kaiseki dinners were excellent and provided an opportunity to try various local dishes. the room was equipped with a personal hot spring style bath for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing.
The building seemed to be an older one and could use some renovation in certain areas.

I had an really good traditional Japanese experience staying here. My room presented a magnificent view of an ancient garden, which added to the entire experience. The hotel provided me with traditional attire to wear for dinner and breakfast, and the food served was the best authentic Japanese cuisine I have ever tasted. The calm ambience of the restaurant overlooking the lake was an added delight.
No complaints.

The room had a great view of the nearby lake and the restaurant served delicious Japanese food. We also appreciated the traditional clothing provided for dinner and breakfast.
The room was outdated and not well-maintained. the furniture was old, and the bathroom felt dingy.

Great stay with a fantastic view of the river. The location was perfect being within walking distance of the famous castle and local shops. The staff was very welcoming and assisted me in planning a day trip to a nearby city. The Japanese-style breakfast and dinner were exceptional and included a lot of different dishes. The traditional room was cozy and had a comfortable bed. , the private onsen added an excellent touch.
The room was a bit chilly, but the staff provided a heater and blankets, so it was not a big issue. Wi-Fi could be a bit spotty at times, but it was free, and it did not affect my work.
